I want to give a huge shout out to Labor and Delivery! After having a terrible experience at Wilson Medical Center I had to quickly make a decision as to where my son was going to be born. We arrived and they were so warm and welcoming. The staff went above and beyond to meet our every need. They were so warm and caring and really put me at ease (this being our first). I would recommend them to anyone. The RN, Joyce, was the absolute best...she truly went above and beyond to accommodate us! And the rest of the staff was amazing as well! ♡
This hospital is sad . It need to be downgraded to a clinic. The professionalism is poor.All of the diagnosis seems to be a guess and always answered with some type of pain medicine .
My brother was in an MVC in June 2018. Unfortunately, he was taken to Wayne Memorial in Goldsboro. He recently had a knee replacement. His knee was hurting from the accident and began swelling. He had trauma to his chest from the seatbelt. His arm was injured. They did x-ray his arm. They did not get a chest x-ray. He kept telling them that his knee hurt but they did not x-ray his knee. When being discharged from the ER, he was asked if he needed a wheelchair, he told them "I already told you I can't walk". They took him in the wheelchair and left him sitting there in the lobby with no clothes on from the waist up. His daughter was waiting under the canopy for someone to bring him outside and help him into the car, but as I said they left him sitting in the lobby bare chested. His daughter finally came inside and asked my brother where are the people to help you into the car and my brother said he didn't know, they left him sitting there in the lobby bare chested. Because of the neglect of the hospital, he ending up going to his orthopedist where they x-rayed his knee and his knee cap was broken. His orthopedist was upset that the incompetent staff in the ER did not x-ray his knee. They would have known his knee cap was broken. He then had to go to his private physician to have a chest x-ray since they neglected to do that in the ED as well. I am a nurse at another hospital and have never seen such neglect or bad treatment from people who are suppose to be professionals. He has an attorney.
Went to the ER for severe vertigo and nausea. Hadn't been able to stand or eat for a day, and was perfectly fine before. After 5 hours and several medicines administered, I was released because the last medication helped some. They wrote prescriptions for the 2 medications that did nothing, however, and as soon as I got in the car to leave I expelled the working medication. So here I am, in bed and unable to walk, with medicine that does nothing and no diagnosis and a complete waste of time that I'm going to have to fight my insurance over.
My aunt had a emergency and we arrived at the emergency room at 5:00 in the morning and no one came to help us till 10:0. We waited for 5 hours just to get help..... This hospital is just horrible. If you need a hospital, go to the one in Greenville. Don't spend your time at this sorry excuse of a hospital.
